GEMS World Academy Switzerland (GWAS) is an international school for children ages 3 to 18. It is the only school between Geneva and Lausanne to offer all three International Baccalaureate (IB) Programmes. GWAS combines top-notch international teachers with a personalised, inclusive and enquiry-based approach as well as state-of-the-art facilities. Discover more about why we say that we are “a school built around your child”.
Learn how to make the most of your child's international experience, enhancing their strengths and supporting them in challenges unique to growing up amidst multi-national and multi-cultural influences.
We'll be looking at social and family issues, characteristics of a Third Culture Kid (TCK), the challenges of parenting TCK's, how to succeed in transition, and what TCK's have to offer an increasingly globalised world.
The event will take place in the school's restaurant, from 6.30 to 8.00 pm.

GEMS World Academy Switzerland (GWAS) opened its doors in Etoy, Vaud in 2013 and is part of a family-run, globally recognised network of over 85 international schools with more than 55-year heritage of academic excellence. We are also one of only five GEMS schools globally to have the premium "World Academy" status.
GWAS offers inquiry-based learning with its IB curriculum (Primary Years Programme - PYP, Middle Years Programme - MYP and the Diploma Programme - DP), a strong focus on student wellbeing and parental engagement and state-of-the-art facilities. But what really impresses parents the most is the quality of the teaching.
GEMS World Academy Switzerland has always set out to offer parents and families a different style of education. We invite you to take advantage of our Open House to learn more about what makes GEMS so unique, to visit our exceptional facilities and to meet our Head of School as well as some of our international staff and dynamic parent group.
Sign up here for our Open House on 7th March at 2PM.
My main worry about GEMS was having a 5-star facility and not having the 5-star staff to go with it. But I was wrong. The staff was, and still is, amazing. The girls come home excited, inspired by what they're learning at school.
I have never been so passionate for the subjects I am learning than since I attended GEMS.
My child is truly being challenged to be the best she can be. The high standards have pushed her to achieve academically and I can see she is being stretched and taught to think critically and creatively.
